Bill Callahan

Bill Callahan, who built his own universe for years under the name Smog, is considered one of the most recognizable voices in alternative folk. He writes songs that don't steer, but invite: a quality that was already evident during his Smog period and has only become more refined since then. Callahan's recent work shows how true he has remained to that quiet, attentive way of writing. The American singer-songwriter performs at Melkweg.
