FOREIGN MATERIAL is Matt Castellvi’s brand-new stand-up show about dating, bad decisions, getting older, living abroad, and trying to behave like an adult while repeatedly proving he probably shouldn’t be trusted with that responsibility. \n Expect brutally honest stories, chaotic dating experiences, cultural misunderstandings, dark thoughts, crowd work, and the kind of jokes that make you laugh first and reconsider your life choices second. It’s messy, personal, fast, and still being built live — which means anything can happen, and the funniest part of the night might be something nobody planned. \n Castellvi is a former Boom Chicago cast member who has performed internationally for more than 20 years, appeared at the Edinburgh and Adelaide Fringe festivals, and opened for comedians including Iliza Shlesinger, Nate Bargatze, Jim Gaffigan, Josh Johnson, TJ Miller and Jeff Arcuri. \n Joining him is Saudi actor and comedian Ibrahim Al Hajjaj, star of the hit comedy Sattar and winner of the 2023 Joy Award for Favorite Actor.
